Student research

Who may submit

Revista Saberes Internacionales accepts work by undergraduate and graduate students from any institution and country. The "Student research" section publishes articles that grow out of a degree project, thesis, classroom project or research group and already have results to report.

Requirements

The article follows the same author guidelines as the rest of the journal: IMRaD structure, APA 7, abstract and keywords in both languages, an ORCID iD for each author and the official template. In addition, the work is endorsed by a faculty member or researcher who supervised it, in one of two ways:

  • as a co-author, if they took part in the work according to the CRediT roles;
  • through a signed letter of support, uploaded as a supplementary file, stating that they know the work and that it has not been published before.

Length is 4,000 to 7,000 words, including references. If the paper comes from a thesis already deposited in a repository, this is stated at submission; that deposit does not count as prior publication.

Review

Papers in this section undergo the same double-blind peer review as research articles, with two external reviewers and the same review form. Being a student does not lower the standard, but reports are written so that the author can learn from them: they point out what to correct and how.

Why publish here

Publication is free and open access, under a CC BY 4.0 license. Students retain their rights and may deposit the article in their university's repository. If the supervising faculty member belongs to the editorial team, they take no part in handling that submission.
